The following is written by Ronald Caringal (artist/curator)...
"TASTE OF INK
Adolescent anxiety and works from the heart by Jenna Genio.
The coming of age in a person’s life should better be seen as an age of becoming. Age shouldn’t catch up with you. It’s the other way around. Jenna’s ink drawings invade the paper unsuspectingly, like an unwanted visitor. Her lines, strokes, scribbles, and purposeful jots define and redefine her subject’s right to exist. It battles its way out of her heart and mind and breathes life into the delicate, grotesque, shameful, and proud beings that occupy the space. The works are both playful and intentional. There will be no one way of looking at them because they make the paper their territory. Like growing up. There is no one way of doing it. You will become a composition yourself.
Jenna Genio is a celebrated photographer and this is her first venture into art. Rightfully so. This is her first solo exhibition."
Yeah a lot of people know me as a photographer...
But I live for ART; drawing and painting. It's been that way ever since I can remember.
Attend the opening night on Friday.
Come and see. These original works will be up for sale as well.
Who knows what my stuff will look like after art school?
Shrug.

Special thanks to my mum, Xavier Dominguez, Siddharta Perez, Sammi Zalazar, Ronald Caringal, Gian Romano, sensei Kiko Escora, and of course his holiness Raptor Jesus.
Feel free to bring friends and to spread the word. Re-post the poster on blogs and bulletins and what-not. In fact that would be awfully cool of you!
